Attempt at Purple Col. Skied up to the bowl and tried to ski over into purple col. After the first turn chose to boot-pack up the scree field rather than ski down and destroy my skis. Please don't try it unless you're trying to convince yourself to buy new skis.
Instead, we skied multiple laps in the bowl, which had good coverage. Some areas with good powder, others were quite hard from either wind slab or avalanche run out. Some whumfing on the skin track but the skiing felt stable. Old tracks in the bowl were quite hard. A cold but solid day out.
