Ayyye the pirates be back

After a long hiatus the Pirates of the Pass are back in action. Went for a lonely after work walk up Balu. When I got to the disco my truck was reading 0*C (14:30) and when I returned to the car the vehicle was reading 2*C (17:00). With that said, the surface snow is actually remaining quite loose and actually skied really well at all elevations. The portion of the couloir I ascended skied really well, I turned around just after the choke. There is a very loaded start zone climber right that made me ye ole boots quiver. Trace amounts of snow as I was leaving the disco. Now off to Nico’s to meet the gorge goblin.
