- We skied up north side of Illicillewaet River toward Lookout Col, turned around at 1840m and down summer trail on south side of the river.
- Cloudy and snowed all day with limited visibility at times.
- 10 cm HST.
- Wind moderate to strong above 1700m, with wind slabs forming and cracking observed.
- Controlled skier-initiated very small wind slab releases on short, steep rolls above 1800m.
- Rode mellow slopes with some small steep faces.
- Instability test at 1550m - see Snowpack tab.
- Observed loose dry avalanche off W or SW aspect steep rock face in alpine.
