This ascent is not for the casuals.
The road into the watersprite lake lot probably had 20-30cm snow covering it so just getting there was a challenge itself. The creeks are probably 1/2 bridged at this point and are typically annoying to cross. The most challenging part was the trees weighed down by snow were all drooping over the trail making it impassable, which required a whole ton of tree-whacking to get rid of the snow weighing them down in order clear a passage. That and the branches buried under the snow which will grab your skis. There was one section where skis had to come off because of the combination of bush and creek was too difficult to overcome.
From the demon ridge turn off things got much easier and the conditions around treeline and above were probably 40-50cm of pow sitting on top of a good supportive layer which made for excellent riding.
