Christmas Couloir

Blower powder in the couloir at the moment. Approach was sketchy due to sheet exposure to cliffs and convex rolls. We tip toed along the ascent face, probed the snow with our poles every few steps and kept a good space between us. Couple hand shear tests revealed 0 slab behaviour. Strong consolidated base with 60cm of unconsolidated powder on top. Couple slightly stiffer wind slabs at the couloir entrance but nothing could be released after several hard ski cut. We didn't find the need to dig a pit.
