Quick report
~10 am near Paradise: Snowpack very consolidated, soft freeze overnight, no hoar frost. ~12:30 pm Camp Muir: Supportable wind crust on the snowfield with lots of texture from the wind but chaulky on top. Snow surface started to soften from sun below ~8500' but very aspect/angle dependent. No wind picking up to light wind on the second lap (~2 pm). No signs of instability. Didn't see/hear any icefall higher on the mountain all day either. ~2:30 pm Pan Face and below: A few areas were getting soft in the sun but no roller balls and only minimal wet sluff. Still very aspect/angle dependent--could go from frozen crust to soft snow quickly.
