Snowpack

Just under a foot of snow at my starting point of 1300' led to 1 1/2 ft of snow at 2600ft. This had all fallen since Thursday 12/30.  Runnels were visible above 2500ft and the rain had already saturated down through the entire snowpack and was pooling on the ground, visible in the photo. Was able to view some open slopes above 4000ft but couldn't see any signs of avalanches- I wouldn't be able to see any if there were due to the bad visibility. Snowpack wasn't complete mush yet. It was supportable and surprisingly good sledding.
