Quick report
Early season conditions are still in effect, with many creeks still open in the Edith Creek basin. Large roller balls were observed throughout Edith Creek and Panorama Face. No signs of wind slabs found. Roller balls were evident through Edith Creek Basin and on Panorama Face. We observed avalanche crowns on golden gate bowls that ran on the November interface. We did not find wind slabs anywhere. Cornices observed along skyline trail near Panorama Face.
Weather
Skies cleared around 2PM with a new storm rolling in around 3:30PM with a heavy rate of snow. Snow turned to freezing rain below Paradise.
Snowpack
Snow was wet and heavy above the most recent crust, especially towards the base of Paradise.
