Quick report
Just a day out practicing pits and multi beacon burials.... Saw none. Upper snowpack is mush, however, so expect wet surface problems to emerge over the weekend.

Steady rain and warm. The road down from govy was a river at the end of the day.
Snowpack
Dug pit with east aspect, 20 deg slope. Hs > 300cm (probe maxed out). In the upper 1.4m, there were three distinct hard crust layers. Very warm snow, with plenty of liquid water. CT and ECT were negative. Nothing would move at all. Boot pen when I left was 40 cm. With more rain coming this weekend, I expect a lot of wet slides. Miserable day in the rain. Fried a beacon.
