Quick report
Great travel and coverage this time of year with a little over 4 feet above 7,000 feet. Sled penetration is minimal (aprox. 1-1.5')...In the upper 6 inches, the snow is dry, and loose and could potentially run with you in terrain steeper than 40, but would likely be harmless.
The only avalanches we saw were some small wet, loose within the surface that was reciving heat on solar aspects that were steep and face the sun . All were relatively harmless to people, D1Weather

Cool down low, and warm in the upper elevations, calm wind with occasional light South Gusts.
Snowpack
Warm temperatures have helped to stabilize the lower snow pack. Layers near the ground are moist and rounding and dense. Failures in the upper snow pack did not propagate in extended column tests…on the surface the snow is getting heated during the sunny days and growing facets and surface hoar near and on the surface. large surface hoar is visible across the whole landscape wherever your travels take you.
