A wild day in the mountains. A reactive storm slab is developing above 7k' with strong wind building cornices and whales ๐ณ . In steeper pockets, the new slab did not bond well to the old crust and sluffed in big chunks, making for interesting and somewhat crunchy skiing. We happily stuck to low angle terrain. Below 7k, the snow was too wet to have formed a slab and appears to have bonded fairly well to the old (and also wet) surface, making for more "interesting" turns.
