Quick report
Very poor visibility limited desire to travel, but dug a couple quick, shallow pits along the ridge top to get a better look at the weekend's new snow. Just below the ridge on the east facing aspect found 2" of light snow on a crust, then 3-4" thick slab on top of another crust. A shallow CT failed at 17 (RP) 30 cm down, below the next visible crust. We did not dig deep enough to find whether the early January weak layer existed in this location.
