Quick report

We toured the NE aspect of Rubicon. The previous night's rain seemed to permeate the snowpack at all elevations, with wet sticky snow underfoot all the way up. During the morning, we encountered rain up to 7800ft, wintry mix between 7800-8300ft, and heavy wet snow from 8300ft+. Above 8600ft there was also significant blowing snow from the south, however we found that the new/windblown snow was adhering well to the existing snowpack. We observed only small pinwheels on steeper slopes and no other wet-loose instabilities.
