We traveled through Perrazo Meadow towards Sierra county line. No signs of instability were observed. There was 0 inches of snowfall overnight, and a storm began moving in at 4:00 PM. A compression test at 7,400 ft resulted in CTN (no failure), with snow hardness showing the right distribution and no signs of instability in deeper layers. A 5+ inch layer of faceted snow was noted on north and northeast aspects, while remaining aspects had a surface crust or ice. Very thin coverage at lower elevations.
