We got out for some light touring on Saturday. We had several folks who were out for the first time, several on snowshoes, so we didn't make it in very far. Hard, shiny, wind-affected surfaces on every aspect. Essentially zero soft snow, even in the trees. Some whumphing on small, convex features, but no shooting cracks. No visible avalanche activity in the area we played in. The riding quality is pure garbage right now, and we need a hard reset out there. It was nice to get out for a walk and a bite to eat in the mountains, but if you're purely shred-motivated, the juice is not worth the squeeze.
