Quick report

No signs of instability, generally the snowpack felt solid and right-side up. Some surface hoar on upper slopes started forming from the clear night before. Gorgeous morning, calm & clear. We turned around just shy of the ridge due to some hollowness/slabiness around the rocks in the chute & the accumulated spindrift.

Avalanche

5-6k, all aspects. Observed lots of shedding from rockfaces & cliffs from Monday as well as some small dry loose point releases. Additional spindrift/sluffing from the rocks started occurring shortly after sunrise in areas receiving sun.
