Moved from Heather Meadows to Austin Pass. Precipitation throughout the day came as mostly rain and switched momentarily to snow at Austin Pass. Signs of rollerballs from tree shedding that fell onto steep terrain. Visibility to Bagley basin upper terrain was intermittent but no signs of visibly wind transporting snow at elevations below Herman saddle. All terrain encountered was water saturated. The depth of snow was generally below 40 cm. On descents multiple people in the party scraped tripped over shallowly buried rocks.
