Quick report

Took a walk out the Alpental Valley to Pineapple Pass to see the aftermath from our latest rains. Lots of water in the creeks with multiple crossings out and waterfalls. Downed trees everywhere from what must have been a wild tree-bomb event. Tree-bombs mostly gone now. Multiple large debris piles from what looked like mostly Glide avalanches. Glide cracks everywhere in steep and rocky terrain. Lost some snow but still holding on. 110cm at 3700’ at Source Lake. Had been 120-140cm. 180-190cm at 4470’ Pineapple Basin. Had been 200cm. Despite the warm ambient temperatures, a thin to stout surface crust was present from 3100’ to 5300’.
