Quick report
New snow from Tuesday night left a smooth surface that was wet in some places and starting to form a crust in others. Settled new snow was roughly 3 - 4" and well bonded to the prior crust. Coverage was mixed - decent in open areas above 4.5k, but thin to non-existent in the forest below. The road did hold snow, starting near the Guard Station at 3k on FR9703. Only N-NE aspects at the very top of the ridgeline harbored any dry snow, and just in the shadows. Freezing temps reached down to 3k overnight. In terms of stability, high clouds, coolish temps, and light winds really limited wet loose activity. - just a few roller balls below rock faces on steeper slopes. Large debris piles from the weekend were evident in several places, along debris from cornice failures from about the same time (see pics).
