Silver Star (SW WA) via Grouse Vista

Snow levels finally coming down here. Quick finger test around 4000' showed me less than an inch fresh powder over two layers of very firmly bonded snow. A little deeper on the summit but not by much. Cornices on ridgelines but not too huge yet. I didn't see any avalanches or cracks on the open areas visible around me.
