Quick report
Took a crunchy walk yesterday to do some exploration in the Tatoosh Range south of Paradise, near Castle peak. As expected, any snow under the trees was rock hard. On Northerly slopes as we travelled up, we found the recycled facet layer that the forecast discussed. The wind was swooping all around so it was forming very odd packed styrofoam surfaces. Surprisingly, did not see any frost hoar in any sunny spots while on other aspects. Old crowns and roller balls were visible on Western slopes. Hand pits showed soft and hard layers in varying depths.
