Ive never felt whoomphing like i did today. Multiple times we felt entire slopes whoomph, almost reminding us of an earthquake as it seems like the entire slope moved down about an inch, both times when pulling a sled out of a stuck. We attempted a ECT on a northwest slope just above upper highland lake, but could not cut through lower crust layer with our rope. We performed two column tests after deciding the ECT would not be accurate. Each test was performed by a different person. Ebbetts pass (Upper Highland Lake) 8800ft NW aspect 175cm snow depth First test CTE5 145CM resistant planar CTH8 Sudden Planar failing at 105cm and 85 cm on the same hit. Second Test: CTE2 resistant planar 130cm CTM2 Sudden Planar 60CM

Multiple propagated slab avalanches 2-5 feet deep, both east facing. Both look natural and like they occured on the 13th. Directly west of upper highland lake. One was extremely wide and even ran up the opposing side of a gully and even looks like it broke an entirely separate lower slab off, one was very deep but did not run far.
