Quick report
Not surprisingly, the snowpack is pretty locked up. A variety of crusts are present at different elevations and on different aspects--some of these crusts are supportable; many of them are not. The 12/8 layer is at the surface in higher-elevation, wind-swept zones such as the Heli Run area, and we did observe debris from two possible natural wind slabs on north aspects of Ptarmigan between Video Peak and Heli. Both slides were very small (photo attached). In addition, I noticed an increase in cornice failure while skiing yesterday (11 December), including in the Hush Hush zone (photo attached).

Broken skies throughout the day, with fewer clouds and slightly higher winds in the morning followed by increasing cloud cover and lighter winds as the storm moved in. S-1 snowfall began around 1 pm.
