Quick report

No signs of instability observed. Did not dig a pit. Stout and supportable wind slab on east to south aspects from about 6000' and to the summit. Many large cornices along southern ridge below summit from westerly winds that we gave a wide birth too. Estimated wind speed above 40 mph along exposed ridges and summit. Standing and walking was difficult. Zero cloud cover the duration of the day.

Avalanche

Observed a previous D2 avalanche on south aspect. Crown is at about 7600' running the length of the gully to about 6400'. Assuming it's from the previous storm cycle and natural.
