Quick report

Toured around Bailey Lake basin, above Lost Horse cabin. Dug a pit on a SE facing, 15 degree slope. Ground was talus. 59 cm of facets, with the bottom 15cm unconsolidated, i didnt have a thermometer with me, but im guessing that bottom 15cm was right at freezing. Facets about that seemed to be rounding and well consolidated. There was a significant ice crust at 60cm, but it seemed to be well bonded to layers above and bellow. CT21 95cm up, at interface between 2 layers. Did not see any signs of instability, but weather was deteriorating rapidly, with 30mph ridge top winds, and snow beginning to blow around.
