Sunshine and Snowballs

We had a warm day of spring riding at Lucille. With the freezing level creeping up, we used mellow slopes to access the Alpine and rode small Treeline features. We saw a temperature of +4 in the Alpine and +6 at Treeline. By afternoon the snow surface and top few cm were getting moist. These high temperatures were also producing snowballs out of steep solar terrain. Moderate southerly ridge crest winds were not able to redistribute the heavy snow.
