Shames ridge conditions

Dug a couple pits while out at shames, at 1200m and 1400m, both north to west facing near the top of the ridge. Both seemed similar. Slightly firmed-up powder over a significant rain crust, felt maybe 2-4mm thick, and more compacted under the rain crust, maybe from wind effect. Didn't react much during compression test, but we were able to pull some blocks out of the storm snow pretty easily. Ride quality was amazing :)
