-14 at trailhead at 8am. -4 at 1985m at 11am. -8 at trailhead at 1:30pm No result on ECT CT provided result with 4 (easy) at 25cm down. There were also resistant fractures with 26 and 30 (hard) further down in the snowpack on CT (measurement not taken). As we transitioned from treeline to alpine, the feature we were skinning up had low density snow underneath soft slab formation, and the snowpack dropped from 180 to 60cm. We decided the risk was not worth continuing and skied down from there. Cornices and snow loading in the area were formed from westerly winds.
