I debated posting this MIN as the beta would be out of date so take this beta with a grain of salt & be safe with this first major spring cycle. Skied Bell Couloir tomorrow with excellent conditions. 430am start at the trailhead had us topped out for just after 9am. -21 in the AM at Taylor lake, rapid rise to 0 by 10AM when we returned to the lake. Plenty of dry loose off steep alpine as the sun hit. See snowpack for details on findings.

Snow conditions were: Powder. Riding quality was amazing.

Dug a pit in some shallow snow on a N aspect, 165cm. We probed 275cm elsewhere. Unreactive to CT & ECT, however, a shovel shear from behind propagated the entire 90cm column 130cm down on large grain facets. The pit had an eerie resemblance to the Haddo incident with 10cm fresh on 70cm supportive mid with large facets to ground.

10am the show began. Thankfully we were with beers at the lake. Lots of loose dry, no slabs were pulled. No cornices observed dropping (bummer).
