Demonic Pancake , Sunday 22nd November, 2020 4:55PM

Nov 5th Crust was down at 120cm on the moraine. No signs of instability, most of the moraine is a soft windslabs. Significant wind loading (on the moraine and top of Bonney), with moderate to strong winds coming from the SE. There were a few creek crossings with water at ankle level, some water skiing and twigs bashing. The elephant trunk was not as heinous as expected, but still pretty sketchy.

Snow conditions were: Wind affected, Powder. Weather conditions were: Windy, Warm. We rode: Alpine slopes, Mellow slopes, Dense trees. We avoided: Convex slopes. Riding quality was good.

Avalache Conditions: 30cm + of new snow, or significant drifitng, or rain in the last 48 hours.
