Ptarmigan Peak

Skied up Ptarmigan Peak this morning with a good overnight freeze. Ski crampons were needed on the lower south facing slopes in the shallow bowl, but up higher the snow was softer. Lots of evidence of recent wet loose slides observed on south, west, and east aspects throughout the valley. One on a south facing slope of Ptarmigan had triggered a slab. It was about +8 in the parking lot at midday
