Crater Lake hardpack

Toured up to about 2050m, just below the summit of Hudson. Our entire way up was mostly on wind affected, hard snow, encased in rime ice above 2000m. We skied down to crater lake and found variable snow, from scoured snow, to breakable crust, with some small pockets of soft snow. Beautiful skin up and amazing views, but not particularly easy skiing.
