I was headed to do the south ridge of Superior via Suicide Chute. While ascending the chute I was hit by a significant sluff from somewhere above but was able to hold my ground and move quickly to the side. Shortly there and just below the top of the chute while I was still hiking up, the entire top of the chute released (it was big old wind pocket). Fortunately I was near the top of the crown zone so was able to once again hold my ground. Needless to say, I bailed on my plan to do the rest of the ridge and was pretty gripped on the ski down.
