Quick report
The largest surface hoar remains in the lower elevations, where the inversion layer has been hovering for the previous couple days. Above the inversion layer, the sun has done a good job knocking down the surface hoar, and any slope that has seen consistant sun have surface hoar grains averaging around 2mm. Shadier, and sheltered North asepects higher in elevation are growing larger surface hoar. The south aspects received enough sun today that snow was constantly glopping to the bottom of our skins, but the northen side of the compass that hadn't been hammered by sun still had soft near surface facets.

Clear, bluebird skies above the inversion. Temps up high in the 30's above freezing, temps were freezing below inversion. Inversion layer around 3,500-4,00ft. Calm winds all day.
Snowpack
Currently stable snowpack, with no failures in recent ECT or CT tests. 20-30cm of near surface facets on top of the 11/23 rain crust. The rain crust varies in size, observed to be around 13cm thick at 6,300ft on NE aspect. Below the raincrust, the temp profile trends warmer, with moist small rounds sitting at the base. Small surface hoar from 11/15 preserved below 11/23 raincrust on NE aspect, with an average size of 2mm. The surface hoar below the crust is spotty and very difficult to find anymore. Non reactive in tests, but shovel sheer score STE.
