We dug a few pits around 8000' with mixed results. One column failed upon isolation. We also had an ECTP 21, and a ECTN 23. All were failing on a layer of facets (presumably from January, about 1" thick) about 7-10" below the surface, though there were also about 2" of facets at the ground. Total snow-pack was 2-3' deep in sheltered areas, but pretty bony on exposed, south-facing slopes.
