We got up Microdot, and on the way on very low angle terrain heard probably a dozen huge whomps. We got up on the west ridge using the semi protected slope with boulders. We decided against skiing the obvious dangerous south east and northwest runs from the top, and skied down our ski tracks. On the way down we ski triggered a D1 avalanche on a south west aspect on an obvious slab in the rocks, which broke right on a clear faceted weak layer that was 2-3 feet deep. We then skied back down to the parking lot and got up the road to try Bennet Ridge. We witnessed a huge D2-3 remote skier trigger avalanche slightly eat of 1000$ run, ona north east aspec, right below the ridge. We then notice a bunch other remotely skier trigger slides from flat terrain all the way up to Hather Pass. Insanely reactive terrain. Nothing could be skied without consequences. Def not Moderate.
Forecaster Note:
Dimensions to the Microdot avalanche are approximately 50' wide and 2-3' deep, vertical fall was about 3 feet.
Size of the remote triggered avalanche on $1000 Run has not been confirmed but appears to have run adjacent to a recent natural avalanche and is likely to be size D1.5-2.
Additional remote triggered avalanches on a facing Skyscraper above the Summit Road were also possible naturals from during the recent storm. Forecasters will verify these assessments in the field this week.
