I was the second skiier to descend the line. I’m not sure if I hit a rock or an ice patch but something slowed me down as I skiied the lower choke of the chute. A large wall of snow hit me, likely my own sluff that caught up to me, and sent me tumbling down the chute.

As I tried to swim skiiers left out of the chute I triggered a storm slab pocket which sent me on a second cycle through the washing machine. My ski bindings refused to release and made it very difficult to keep my head above the snow. Thankfully I came to a stop on top of the debris and despite my leg being twisted I was uninjured. Thankful this was a lesson and not a tragedy.
