- <p>The wind slab was more stubborn today than yesterday in the Chilly Peak area. Still concerned with the hollow wind slab that fractured and cracked. See video. I believe this danger to be "considerable" on the higher exposed slopes. </p> <p>I was able to find the surface hoar layer and of course the rain crust. Even though there is a shear at each of these, there is no propagation on ECT. The wind slab seems to be the biggest danger and in places is sitting on grapple. </p>
Wind crust everywhere except in the sheltered trees made for 'adult skiing'. Still nice turning in the sheltered areas with 4-5 inches below 7500ft. on a supportable crust. Best option is low angle as the skiing is fast.
