- No recent avalanches. No signs of instability. - Wind affected snow in all open terrain. Protected areas still harbored soft snow, despite loads of tree litter. - Thin sun crust forming on solars on the ride out. We noticed softening of snow down 3in or less during peak heat of the day. - At 6400’ (N) Found JDL down 55cm, 4cms of facets and decomposing surface hoar, this layer resulted in CTH 23 (SC). Still ample snow to be had, despite the few growing d*rt patches on the ride in.
