Quick report
Snow stayed dry on both NW and NE aspects throughout the day down to 4800.’ That early February crust seems to be nicely buried in this region by a settled 6” of recent snow fall. Small cornice formation (see video) on north facing ridge lines. Observed surface hoar around 5800’ on a N aspect. We saw a few dry loose slides on NW facing slopes that were natural and just below a rock band. No cracking, whoompfing, or collapsing.

Minimal wind affect. 8 degrees start of tour, 23 degrees on the ridge, 18 at the car upon return. Winds were so shockingly calm, we didn’t want to talk about it. No snow transporting within our visual field.
