8-12 inches of fresh snow on a firm crust, on all aspects we skied (mainly E). Not firm enough to be totally supportive when bootpacking though... the crust made skinning on steeper sections equally challenging, despite the new snow. The gorgeous sunny day allowed us to get up high - 7800' - and we were treated with mostly light winds. Snow was certainly getting transported by occasional moderate gusts, but we had very minimal cracking and only on the most affected parts of the ridge climb. Coverage was low enough to be worried about sharks lurking under the fresh snow, even that high. We experienced sloughing on the short very steep sections we skied, but it was very manageable given the terrain we were in. Temps stayed cold throughout the afternoon despite the sunshine, although South faces certainly warmed up and lower elevations melted out quick. A rare treat of a day (this season)!
