Nice settled, soft snow above 8500 ft. Saw isolated patches of surface hoar between 8000-8300 ft. Settlement cones on the top of Pink Pine ridge line. Near surface facets were widespread on east facing aspects around 8800-9000ft.

- <p>Buried weak layer is still a low probability/high consequence problem. Will be interesting to see how the storm over the weekend affects this problem. </p>
