Lake Helen & Katherine Area

Beautiful day out near Lake Helen. Snow was dust (~10cm) on crust and skied great on mellow lee slopes. Windward slopes were quite bare in the alpine. Snowpack becomes very unsupportive and faceted in the trees, but coverage is improving slowly. Weather was sunny all day and warmer than expected, felt like spring but with early season snow conditions
