Rode up Bijoux trial today to get a feel for what was going on in the zone. It rained earlier in the week to 1300m and snow was crusty to that point, above the 1300m mark the snow was very wind affected and we saw 8 recent windslab releases with the largest one a size 2 in the Pine Bowl. We tried to go over Skinny Ridge and were almost blow-off top of the mountain. This is a great indicator of what the ridgetop winds are doing (nuclear). Test pit showed 2 layers that are a concern one is down 20cm, recent storm snow, and the other down 83cm.
