We skinned up above Christmas Chute and headed back down the skin track. Evidence of wide spread wind slab on exposed slopes and even some pockets in more sheltered areas - noticed as we were skiing down. We only really travelled on North East to West aspect slopes.
We did a quick hand shear test and, with two hands of force, the column slid on what appeared to be facets 30 or so cm down - on a north facing aspect with evidence of sestrugi across the hole face.
