Celebrated the New Year at Ripple Cabin
Took some data on the SE aspect of Baldy, then skied down the pitch to traverse to the Crags.
BEWARE OF SOUTHERN ASPECT SKIN TRACKS they are bulletproof and have the potential to slide off of on steep slopes.
S aspects were wind affected and all sun crust affected, E and N aspects had good snow to ski. Some isolated surface hoar in sheltered areas and lower elevations from the clear night of Dec 31st

Jan 2nd woke up to ~5-7cm of fresh snow which lightly reset the heavily skied out skin tracks and faces. Exited with a N drop of Lightening Strike which had some powder but was supportive underneath. No crust present on this aspect.
