Surface hoar starting to form at all elevation bands today walking up the Asulkan drainage. Size .05-2
Notable wind effect, and mostly decomposed windslab starting at 2300m. The 7 steps headwall was quite scoured and ski quality was ok.
It is still tiger country on skiers right of the Asulkan glacier, lots of holes present. Will attach photo.
The November crust was 15-25cm down upon ascending the headwall.
Skied blower pow below 2300m in the sheltered north terrain on the lower steps, ski quality was honesty so excellent!
There’s still a couple of creeks open still in the Asulkan drainage, free cold dips if you’re keen. But otherwise travel is pretty smooth.
