While driving along the Trans Canada at 4:30pm we saw three large avalanches (size 2), come off the upper alpine tier of Mt. Rundle above the gully where Professor Falls is. We couldn't tell if they ran all the way to the ice climb or not, but there was a significant volume of snow coming down. It was raining pretty hard at the time.
