Quick Observation

No natural or skier triggered Avy activity noted. Wind was up and transporting snow still. Dug one pit at 2310 metres on a N facing slope. HS - 90cm ECTP12 was our result. It failed on top of the rain crust - planar. The crust is about 10cms thick, sitting on 15 cm of facets to the ground. There are 5 cms of facets above the crust. From there up it’s mostly 1f to 4f to the top. The crust is extremely hard - we first thought it was the ground. Despite that we found good turns on low angled sheltered slopes. 20 or so people were out.
