Quick Observation

A day when our expectations were a little different from what we saw. Based on yesterday’s weather analysis we had expected to see around 20 cm or maybe more new snow sitting over the recent temperature crust. What we found was around 3 cm new snow above a firm crust. We looked for evidence of surface host, but couldn’t find it at our test site on a north aspect at 2100m. Good traction. Good riding. No avalanches.
